Licence to Kill (1989): From Denmark with Love

DANISH CONNECTIONS

Carlsberg's product placement deal with EON, which started with "The Living Daylights" (1987), continued in the subsequent James Bond film, "Licence to Kill" (1989).

The Danish brewing group's characteristic logo appears in more than a dozen shots in the five-minute long sequence which takes place around the fictional pub The Barrelhead Bar. Thai Island Restaurant & Sushi Bar in Key West, Florida, USA provided the exterior for Barrelhead Bar, while the interior was built for the film as a set at Churubusco Studios in Mexico City.
Time code (Blu-ray): 0:50:50-0:54:59

The Carlsberg logo is first seen when James Bond (Timothy Dalton) arrives by boat at the Barrelhead Bar, the shabbiest harbor bar in Bimini in the Bahamas.

“Licence to Kill”: Danish theatrical poster (1989)

The 16th James Bond film from EON Productions, "Licence to Kill", was released in Danish cinemas on July 7, 1989.

United International Pictures' Danish poster campaign used the UK one-sheet artwork designed by Robin Behling although Timothy Dalton's Bond was given a white shirt and tux as in the German poster campaign. For unknown reasons, the image of Bond on the Danish poster was flipped, making him left-handed. The tagline reads: "James Bond on his biggest assignment ever ... and this time it's personal!"

In the special, TV 2's Jes Dorph-Petersen interviews actors Timothy Dalton (James Bond 007), Robert Davi (Franz Sanchez), Talisa Soto (Lupe Lamora) and Desmond Llewelyn ('Q') as well as the film's director, John Glen.

The interviews are in English with Danish subtitles. Apologies for the inferior video quality (the clip was sourced off a VHS recording).
